An Introduction Of A Daring First time Momprenuer

Hi, my name is Jill!
My blog is as messy as my life was up until this year. I'm taking control and am on a journey to organize it, my business, and help you with yours!

Here's a bit about me, if you don't already know me.
- Licensed Funeral Director by trade
- Currently a Virtual Assistant
- First time Mom
- Also a wife and fur mama
- Working to defeat PMAD
- My calling is to help people overcome what seems impossible

As a virtual assistant, I currently am helping women (and mom) owned small businesses with their day-to-day tasks behind the scenes. But as I am learning, I am seeing so much more potential in my business to provide moms-to-be, new moms, and parents alike with resources to overcome what seems impossible.

I started my business 4 months postpartum so that I could be a work-from-home mom. I have always been a working person and this has to be the most difficult job I've ever had - running a business, being a mama and wife, and owning a home. I don't know how some people manage this because I am on the struggle bus!

I am discovering more about myself through my transition into motherhood and momprenuership than I ever have in any other phase of life. I was blessed with finding clients in the first week of launching Jill Ann VA. Honestly, while life swirls around me with craziness, so much with the business has just fallen into place and proved itself the best decision that I've made for myself and my family.

As a virtual assistant, I am managing social media accounts, building websites, and managing multiple projects. I get to work 40 hours a month (during my son's naps) and enjoy being with my son the rest of the time. The hardest part for me has been organizing my day and time and feeling guilty for wanting to work more than spend the time with him

I have been struggling with OCD and anxiety interfering with my daily life. I find it difficult to organize myself and get overwhelmed by the pressure to find the time to get my work done. I allowed the pressure to be able to work and help provide for my family to take priority over caring for my family. In order to be the mom I want to be, I needed to change my mindset.

I joined a Mastermind and a coaching class about collaborating with the My Sexy Business Team and have learned so much already. I have learned the difference between having a routine over a schedule, more sustainable ways to run my business, who I want to collaborate to benefit my audience, and working on getting clear about my business, its purpose, and who I want to serve. My business is pivoting and it's going to be quick. I'm hoping that you will follow along and that I can impact your life.

Are you a new mom and unsure about what to do about going back to work? I'd love to hear from you - we can chat about it and what your options are. While working from home may not be for everyone, you do have options. Do you struggle with finding more time in your day to get mom and work stuff done? I'm still figuring it out, but I've found the best method for me, and am happy to share (I plan on sharing my tips in the future).

I'd love to hear what your struggles are, we can chat any time - join my email list to hear updates weekly and maybe something will strike you. I want you to know that you're not alone.

Would it help you to share your story? Let's chat about it one day!
